We have noticed that the Traceroute tool is not available from a majority of our possible geolocs. This is generating a large number of support requests where such trace routes are requested by the customer. It would be an enormous time saver to make this simple tool available from every geoloc a customer may use for check creation, so that they may independently investigate regional network slowdowns that are not related to Apica infrastructure. Customers who can show that trace routes to and from their URLs to our Public Ips and trace routes from our locations to their URL’s / IP’s / cdn nodes differ from check results shown in WPM would then have shown us compelling evidence of a possible issue on our end, thereby vastly minimizing the turnaround time of such Support Requests.
As a customer, I’d expect that for every geoloc from which I am running checks, the option to trace route from that location exists within the WPM tool.
Promoting into a feature to investigate further how to enhance the functionality. We'll get back to you when it has been finalized and planned.
